Week 7 had Miss Copeland’s class at TCS.  This session was all about Courage and Integrity.  We brainstormed a bit and then launched into some improv and tableaux on doing the right thing, even if it’s hard or it hurts.  The first exersise was answering the question, What would you do?

You see a group of kids picking on another kid…

Your friend tells you a secret (she’s being abused)…

Your Dad bumps into a car and leaves a scratch…

You catch your friend cheating off you or another student…

You found a loonie on the classroom floor…

The teacher leaves the answers open on their desks and leaves…

Someone offers you a copy of an exam, with all the answers provided…

We then did a fun exercise using Tableaux.  Freeze frame scenes where they showed examples of courage or integrity or the lack of it.  Then we time warped 20 years and they did a second scene.

We ended it off with them role playing situations where one choose to do or say what’s right and other tried to talk him/her in the other direction.

Next week’s topic: PERSEVERANCE.
